Please find below Thames Street Dental’s update regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19):
The number one priority for Thames Street Dental is the health, well-being and safety of our patients, staff and their families. Our team always work tirelessly to keep our dental practice a clean and safe environment for you, as shown in our Inspection Report from the Care Quality Commission.
We fully understand that our patients are concerned about the Coronavirus outbreak, and want to assure you that, in addition to our usual scrupulous cross infection control measures, we have been, and will continue to closely follow the evolving situation and guidelines issued by the UK Government and Public Health England, as well as taking into account advice from other Governments around the world and consulting with other dental and medical professionals.
Taking the above into account, the following is our current position in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Note, this page may be updated as our position evolves:
Last Updated: 16th April 2020
The Thames Street Dental practice will continue to stay open for telephone and email advice only. We are unable to offer routine treatment during this time, and must restrict treatment to just the most severe dental emergencies, including:
- Severe Toothache or pain lasting more than 48 hours
- Dental trauma
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Facial / mouth swelling
If you believe you have a severe dental emergency, please call us on 0208 546 6 546 to discuss. If we are unable to answer your call, please do leave a voicemail which includes your name, contact telephone number and the reason for your call, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Apologies, but at this time, we are unable to offer routine dental care, including the following which, in normal circumstances, may be considered emergencies:
- Lost Crown(s)
- Lost Filling(s)
- Broken Tooth / Teeth
We believe this is unequivocally the only choice in the present circumstances. Our absolute priority has always been to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and our staff, but our duty of care is not only to protect our patients and staff, but to also minimise the spread of COVID-19 by enacting upon the social distancing measures as stressed by the government in recent weeks.
Please be assured that, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue our usual high standard of dental care for you when things return to normal. As mentioned above, we are still available over the phone and email to answer any questions you may have, or to help you in the case of a severe dental emergency.
If you already have an appointment booked in with us in coming days/weeks, one of our team will be giving you a call in the near future to reschedule it to a later date.
As mentioned above, we shall keep this page updated with any Coronavirus (COVID-19) related developments, and when the time is right, we look forward to welcoming you back to Thames Street Dental.
Thank you for your support – please keep safe, take care of your loved ones and your communities.
